MCA Portal Update: DSC Registration Process Revised for Non-DIN Holders
If you are planning to incorporate an LLP or a company but do not have a Director Identification Number (DIN), you might feel confused about how to register your Digital Signature Certificate (DSC).
Earlier, the process was different, but now there is a clear requirement you need to follow.
If you do not have a DIN, you must first create a registered user account on the MCA (Ministry of Corporate Affairs) portal. After successfully creating your account, you need to log in and associate your Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) with your user profile.
How to Register
The following are the registration steps:
Step 1: Go to the MCS official Portal and sign in/sign up.
Step 2: Click on the “Register” button.
Step 3: Under the user category, select “Registered User“.
Step 4: Fill in the required personal details.
Step 5: Click on “Create My Account”
Step 6: Lastly, enter the OTP to successfully activate your account.
This step is crucial for users who plan to use a DSC for company incorporation and other related filings.
