MCA Flags Temporary Delay in Certificate of Incorporation from April 1

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) stated that the Income Tax Department has introduced some changes in the data requirements for the Permanent Account Number (PAN) and Tax Deduction and Collection Account Number (TAN) from April 1, 2026.

Therefore, the revised data requirements may lead to intermittent delays in the generation of Certificates of Incorporation (COI) for Companies and Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) incorporated through the SPICe+ and FiLLiP forms from April 1.

The MCA further stated that the disruption is expected to last for approximately three to four days. Once the transition to the revised data framework is completed, the generation of Certificates of Incorporation will resume as usual.

Stakeholders and applicants have been advised to take note of the temporary delays while planning incorporations during the transition period.
